Today, Thursday, May 2, is The National Day of Prayer! Meet with other Christian believers today at 12 noon at The Garfield County Gazebo on the Courthouse lawn for worship, fellowship, and prayer! Pastors and other leaders will lead us in prayer, as we pray for America. With the violent protests on many of our college campuses, abortion law debates and our upcoming Presidential elections; we – as true believers- need to stop and intercede for our nation. America truly is at a crossroads. We are a divided nation, and the scripture tells us, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.” (Matthew 12:25). We must pray.
I hope you will join us downtown for this prayer service sponsored by the Enid Ministerial Alliance. This is one time a year that Christians across our city representing many churches come together in unity. Something the Lord Jesus prayed would happen, “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” (John 17:23). Love requires us to pray in unity.
Come pray with us!
Yours in Christ’s love,
Pastor Mark
PS: I’m beginning a new series on the Book of Esther beginning this Sunday. Please read Chapter 1 in preparation for Sunday’s message and celebration of Holy Communion. Look forward to seeing you and yours here! It’s also a wonderful time to invite a friend too!
