Mark is a native Oklahoman who has served in some of the smallest, and some of the largest, churches in our state. He is a mid-career pastor with both very rural and very urban church experience. He also has experience in student ministries, and we have a lot of students, or soon-to-be students, at Willow View.
Mark served 12 years as senior associate pastor at Tulsa Asbury, our state’s largest Methodist church. Mark is well grounded in rural Oklahoma, too, having served as pastor in Spiro, Walters and Chelsea, Okla.
Before coming to Willow View in 2017, Mark was pastor of First United Methodist Church in the core of downtown Oklahoma City, directly across from the OKC National Memorial. In OKC, Mark served on the executive team for two Franklin Graham Festivals in Oklahoma and served on the Oklahoma City Compassionate Ministry Board.
Mark is a gifted preacher, pastor, evangelist and teacher. He regularly leads Willow View members in mid-week Bible studies or short-term studies on contemporary Christian issues.
Mark served as president of the Enid Ministerial Alliance and as lead pastor for the National Day of Prayer local celebration . He is a member of Enid Rotary Club and is a 20-gallon blood donor through the Red Cross or Oklahoma Blood Institute.
Mark is an avid runner and frequently shares stories from his experiences on the streets, paths and trails. (Ask him about his turkey encounter!)
