GODISNOWHERE

By Pastor Mark McAdow

"GODISNOWHERE"

I put this phrase up on our worship screens not long ago. I prefaced it by saying an atheist had written this on a white board in a college classroom. “God is nowhere” was the intent — a statement of unbelief. A Christian student went up to the board and separated the phrase slightly differently and it read “God is now here.” A statement of abiding faith!

Today in Oklahoma it might read, “God I snow here!”

Just a reminder: If we get an avalanche of snow – as predicted – we will not host worship services this Sunday.

My philosophy has always been “if it’s snow – it’s a go; if it’s ice – no dice!” But, if the weathermen’s prediction is right this time, we won’t be able to clear the snow quickly enough to safely hold services. Plus, it sounds like the temperatures will be bitterly cold.

If we must close, we will send an email update out and put the closing on the OKC television stations. As always, never attempt to come to church if it would put you in danger.

But, if they miss the forecast again, we’ll be here! Because “God is now here!”

Love you,
Pastor Mark
